Walking Tour in the Farmland of Sonder Town in Minahasa

I have just completed a walking tour in the forest and farmland areas of Sonder town in Minahasa regency of North Sulawesi. I explored a road that went up through mountain ridge and then down to ricefield areas. 

The walking tour in these areas allow me to see birds and butterflies as well as the beautiful clove plantation and vegetable gardens that grow along the slopes of Sonder town.

Local farmers grow vanilla, aubergine, tomato, chilli in the slope areas. In wetland, they grow rice. The combination of terraces of rice fields with clove, coconut and other tropical trees along the Lalek slope creates a very beautiful landscape which tourist will like when they do nature walk around the suburb of Sonder town.
