Where is Minahasa and How to get there?

Minahasa is a region in the northern tip of Sulawesi of Indonesia. Most of its highland areas consist of mountains, valleys, farmlands, tropical forest, lakes, rivers, ponds and rice fields. The landscape of Minahasa is very beautiful for anyone who loves nature. There are several regencies and municipality in the region of Minahasa. All of them can be accessed from Manado city which is the capital of the Province of North Sulawesi. 

Flying to Manado city

The region of Minahasa is a highly recommended destination for nature lovers. When traveling in Minahasa, they can enjoy wildlife-watching (including birdwatching and wildlife-watching), enjoy soaking their body in warm water that comes out of the hotspring in the mountains, see farmers who work in their vegetable gardens, livestock farming, carpentry, and etc. 

Traveling in Minahasa

Flight Routes:

• It is easy to visit Manado city. Visitors can fly from their country to Singapore and then continue their trip by taking a flight (usually served by Scoot Air) to Manado city.
• Other alternative include flying to Jakarta, or Surabaya or Denpasar Bali and then continue the next trip to Manado city by taking domestic flights served by Garuda, Citylink, Lion Air and Batik Air. 
• There is also daily flight from Sorong city (the main gate to Raja Ampat) to Manado.
